Whitefriars made some superb double trefoil garland paperweights the equal of similar classic French paperweights. Left: A very pretty faceted example with 6 side and one top facets. Includes some unusual canes. Dated 1975. Below left: This example has lovely subtle coloured millifiore canes on a translucent green ground. It is unfaceted and the high density lead glass gives a large magnification which slightly distorts the photograph at the edge of the paperweight. Whitefriars date cane for 1978.
